Arturs is one of the most promising young Latvian freestyle skiers.

He specializes in the spectacular Rail Event format, where he consistently scores high on the international stage. His riding style is characterized by great technicality and precision, which he proved by taking 5th place at the FIS competition in Druskininkai (2024) and 9th at the Europa Cup in Riga (2025).

Akmenkalns is a rider who isn't afraid of risk, and his runs on the "iron" always catch the judges' attention with creative rail entries.
