Pendulum is one of the most important, popular and at the same time most controversial bands combining drum'n'bass, breakbeat and rock. Over the years of the Australian band's success, purists of the genre accused the group of commercializing drum'n'bass. For many young drum'n'bass lovers of the "Z" generation who didn't catch The Prodigy, their music was their first exposure to the genre, as hits such as Tarantula, Granite, Propane Nightmares, The Tempes, Wichcraft, Watercolour could be heard in the late `00s and early `10s in almost every racing game, not to mention movies and car shows and sports competitions.
The band went on hiatus in 2012, but returned first with DJ sets and then in 2020, when they released the tracks Driver and Nothing For Free, their first new music in a decade. Those two tracks were followed by the four-track Elemental EP in 2021. After a surprise appearance at Reading Festival this summer, Australian band Pendulum will play London's Brixton at the O2 Academy next year, as well as the main stage at SnowFest 2023 in Szczyrk, Poland!
