“Barbra Streisand” — who doesn’t know this massive hit by Duck Sauce? One half of that legendary duo is none other than A-Trak, alongside Armand Van Helden!
A-Trak (Alain Macklovitch) is one of the most versatile producers and DJs in the world. At just 15 years old, in 1997, he claimed the title of DMC World Champion in turntablism. His virtuosity quickly opened doors to the hip-hop elite, leading him to work alongside the biggest names — including Kanye West, for whom he became the official tour DJ.
Now based in New York, the Canadian artist has, since his early days, been blending intricate turntablist techniques with the euphoric energy of dance music, becoming a true bridge between these two worlds. This fusion is also reflected in the roster of artists signed to his iconic label Fool’s Gold Records.
A-Trak is also one half of The Brothers Macklovitch, a project with his brother Dave 1 of Chromeo. Widely recognized as a cultural figure, he was featured by Rolling Stone among the 50 Most Important People in EDM, and praised as a “global ambassador of DJ culture.”
As a documentary filmmaker, producer, and fearless selector, A-Trak constantly redefines the role of the DJ — a visionary shaping trends and telling stories through sound.
